Peter co-founded WX (formerly Winery Exchange) after serving as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Golden State Vintners, formerly one of the largest vineyard and winery owners in California. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in computer science and math from the University of California at Davis. Peter was raised in Sonoma County in the heart of California’s wine country, and his family owns and operates Paradise Ridge Winery in Santa Rosa, CA. He likes to mountain bike on Mt. Tam, snowboard and coach youth basketball.
Oliver is responsible for all aspects of operations at WX, including winemaking, sourcing, procurement, production, supply chain, logistics, legal and compliance and project management. He also leads the company’s Contract Production Services business. Oliver was previously Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Silicon Valley Bank and earlier was partner in the Palo Alto law firm of Fthenakis & Colvin. Oliver holds a BA in economics from the University of California at Davis, a JD from the Santa Clara University School of Law and an LLM in securities regulation from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. Oliver enjoys spending time with his family, running, cycling and supporting Bay Area sports teams.
As WX’s Chief Financial Officer, Mike develops the company’s financial strategy and leads the finance, accounting and HR teams at WX. Mike’s professional experience includes senior finance, investment and operational roles. Most recently, Mike co-founded Wine Hooligans, a wine brand holding company where he held the positions of CFO and COO. Prior to Wine Hooligans, Mike was the CFO at Purple Wine Company and Sonoma Wine Company. Mike also worked in the investment management industry as a Principal with Catalyst Investment Management Co. and held consulting roles with KPMG Peat Marwick and Price Waterhouse. He holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. Mike lives with his wife and four sons in Berkeley, CA.
Bill is responsible for all aspects of processes and information services at WX, including technology infrastructure, systems, data management and process optimization. Prior to joining WX, he was Managing Director at Myer-Holum International Consulting in Australia. Bill currently is a member of the board for his family winery, Nichelini, the oldest continuously owned and operated winery in Napa Valley. He holds a BS in math and computer science from the University of California at Davis. Bill now resides in San Anselmo, where he enjoys mountain biking and abalone diving in his free time.
Bryan Moreno is the Senior Vice President Global Sales overseeing all sales strategy for the company. With over 20 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, Bryan is well-versed in marketing, distributor management, national accounts, international sales, and trade marketing. Most recently, Bryan served as WX Brands’ Vice President of U.S. sales and was promoted to his current position in August 2019. Prior to joining WX Brands, Bryan honed his skills at some of the leading wine companies such as E&J Gallo, Moet Hennessy USA, and Don Sebastiani & Sons. Bryan holds a degree in economics from Texas A&M University and resides in Dallas, TX, with his wife Angi, sons Austin and Dawson, and stepdaughter Avery.
As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Jeff Ngo leads marketing and direct-to-consumer efforts for WX Brands portfolio of nationally distributed and exclusive wine brands. Prior to joining the company’s executive team, Jeff held positions at leading multi-brand portfolio companies including Jackson Family Wines, Diamond Foods, and E. & J. Gallo Winery. Before Jeff’s career in brand management, he was a consultant with Price Waterhouse Coopers, leading change at Fortune 500 companies around the country. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA with High Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. Hailing from Cleveland, OH, Jeff is an often heartbroken, but nevertheless steadfast Cleveland sports fan. He resides in Santa Rosa, CA, with his wife and their three daughters.
